Yes, in this case it is measured as the difference in height from the top of one tread to the next.

You can slope the tread so that the riser height is at max.

To be honest even if you can have a slope I think it would feel rather weird walking down them.

i am talking about 2 or 3mm across 250mm not 50mm.

it was just enough across 10 risers to again the 20mm we needed.

I thought I should have known allowances for tread out of level.
Upon looking it up I can confirm Peter it is 1:50 for landings (3.9.1.3.h.iii.).
But no where the trueness of a tread is mentioned, its implied in figure 3.9.1.2 but not stated.
Are you aware of any place?
