G'day all , well after nearly a full day sanding yesterday I finally got around to putting some stain on. Its only cabots interior stain (Walnut) but its what my daughter wanted, so who am I to argue!
I have decided to keep it simple by spraying a couple of coats of satin clear tomorrow, mainly because of the durability factor.Anyway I hope you all like it so far, the colours look different in the pics but the sun was shining from the side on the base. Cheers Steven

Well after a few delays due to work commitments, the knobs are on and the dresser was delivered this afternoon. I am quite pleased with the end result and have learned a couple of lessons along the way,
I look forward to any comments, good or bad .
    Cheers StevenAttachment 59607

It has come out beautifully. You should be well proud.

So come on now, how many hugs did it score you?

No hugs just yet, but she invited all her friends around to check it out so I suppose she appreciates it. I guess she just isn't the hugging type.
    Cheers Steven

Looks excellent now it's finished. I really like it.

    Gotta be happy with that.

It's good to give a gift like this to a family member as it leaves your mark that will be with them for the rest of thier lives.
I know that anything i have that has had my father or grand fathers touch is that bit more special.

I'm sure your daughter is very appreciative, wether she may show it or not.

    Steven.
