That one's a pillowcase , but there's a few old tea towels lurking in the shed.
My old workbench has a bit too much 'patina' to put finished work directly onto the bench top .

    Default Almost finished ...

I've now finished polishing the drawer fronts and set the knobs.

The back panels are now on and I've started finishing the case.
A few coats of neat shellac, with a light cutting back in between.

Before and after the first coat.

The only thing left to do is the polishing and waxing of the case, and waxing all the drawer runners.

    Starting the case polishing.

Next pics will the finished chest (hopefully).

    Soon ...

    Default All finished

Waxed, buffed and stocked with jewelry.
SWMBO has claimed it as hers, after quoting Derek Zoolander of course ....

"What is this? A chest of drawers for ants?"

    Please excuse my terrible photography.

Thanks to all that had a look.

It was quite challenging to put this together, but I'm happy how it turned out.
Now I'd better start working on some of the bigger stuff.

    Cheers,
    Stu

Fantastic work, Stu, I admire your patience and skill. Without any reference scale, that would pass for a full-sized chest of drawers.

A fine piece of craftsmanship and you work is far superior than most apprentices.
