Scott,
If only they could have seen what the chairs looked like before you started to shape and cut them to their legs and bits and pieces. That must have taken a lot of work....
How are you finding the rosewood to work compared to your favourite Tas blackwood?

These are the slabs.
They weighted 1/2 a ton each. Getting them out of the shed was impossible. I spent 2 weeks to cut them into pieces.
Greg, Rosewood is reasonably easy to work with (with sharp toos of course). Do keep some stock for me.

Well he had better get some more as I just about cleaned Greg out of the better pieces when I was up there a few weeks ago. Went through three stacks picking the eyes out of them. Nice timber though. Have just started making a chest of drawers with the rosewood. Will post soon.

Guys , I think the Maloof joint is called a rabbet dado joint , not a rebate dado joint .
