    G'Day Doorstop Mate,

    What is Hooroo? Mate.

I will try starting off with the G'Day greeting ( I think that is universal, when some one is polite, mate

And the mate, is a friendship thing, mate

We normally say, so long, take care, be good, watch yourself, or I will see you. mate

Hooroo (what ever it means) Mate

Hooroo - Hooray, ooroo or ooray Australioan colloquialism Goodbye, an endearing goodbye.

    Doorstop
Sorry Doorstop, ya missed a real bottler of a weegend downth'Island. Ozzies, Kiwis 'n' Septics. 'u beaut matey, a real ball tearer. Lots of us got a bit snakes hissed Satdee nite, one yob got a bit snakey and nearly got snotted, bloody greatstuff mate. Pitty yacoodnabintherecobber. Lotsapeople sent their luvt'ya.

Mac That's what is called strine. Australian English - humerous and affectionally regarded, easy to speak and bloody hard to read especially if you're not an Ozzie. Most Australians who aren't up themselves can readily understand it.

    Cheers
    Neil

    Mac again
Cheers: Australioan colloquialism Good health, short for cheerio Goodbye and good health, an endearing goodbye.

P.S. Careful how you use the word mate, mate, because mate can have about 30 or more different meanings depending on how it is said, it can be anything from I love you to you're dead, and a whole lot more, however you really need to hear it said to understand these meanings. Confusing isn't it.

A BIT OF STRINE WITH DEFINITIONS.

    G’day mate.
    Pleased to make your acquaintance.

Blotto. (stonkered, snakes hissed, , full as a goog)
Inebriated beyond the capacity to stand up.

    Fair dinkum (True dinks)
Of course I’m telling the truth! Also, are you sure your telling me the truth?

    You little ripper!
    Words of praise fail me.

    Rack off (Nick off)!!!
Your presence is no longer required.

    Pull ya head in!
You may be correct in your assertion, but shut up.

    Wanna rage?
Would you like to drink vast amounts of alcohol with me until we drop?

    Ya drongo!
I believe you are a rather dimwitted person.

    Your shout
If you value your well being you should definitely buy the next drink.

    Go on.
I’m not entirely convinced you know what you are talking about

    Whadayawnt?
May I enquire about your needs?

Chunder (spew, chuck, puke, ralf, barf, have a technicolour yawn, lose the lunch, etc)
The delicate act of regurgitation, (vomiting) usually after rage or during a real good rage.

    I'm Spewin'
I am not particularly happy about the situation

    You pong!
Dear me, don’t we smell bad.

    Bloody oath!
I am in total agreement with you.

    Howya goin’?
May I enquire about your welfare

Give it a go ya mug!
Are you perhaps incapable of performing this act?

    Snot
What you blow out of your nose into a handkerchief.

Bag yer 'ead or I'll snot ya
Please stop talking or I shall punch you in the nose.

‘AVAGOODWEEGEND - (Have a good weekend)
I hope you have a pleasant Saturday & Sunday

DJABRINGYAGROGALONG? - (Did you bring your grog along?)
