Fletty,
I hope that you've got it the other way, otherwise you'll be you know where all night long, and it won't be barking at the porcelain.
Nice WIP by the way.

Well Alan you tried held out as long as possible another week and you'd have been dragged off to the ..........nope you'd have gone back to WORK. Sanity may not have been there either tho.
Having seen and watched the LGS shake & shudder when you have had a light breeze let alone opened the door it amazes me that it stood up to being Shanghai"d across the vast waste lands.
Its heart warming to see so many jump in and offer as they have to come to your aid. I highly recommend Master lecy Tony a pleasure to watch as you know.
I must ask one thing tho will this "The bigger shed" mean you'll require a larger TV screen for the viewing of RL Edited as I left out RU & Cricket? A better sound system for audible commentary ?? As one ages eye sight and hearing do reduce some what.

Mostly retired
Glad to hear that you are finally "mostly retired".
I am impressed that you have almost finished your workshop extension in a couple of weeks. Maybe if I stayed at work longer I might be finished by now.
While I have appreciated your guidance and support building my shed, I think it best if I don't offer to give you a hand once I am finished.
I doubt you have the patience to wait that long.
You do have a lovely setting for you hobby sheds.Scally

Once again, the builders rang VERY early to tell me that they were on their way. Until then there had been no confirmation of when they would arrive but the best date I had been given previously was tomorrow! I had a few things to do before they arrived such as remove the down pipes from the current shed but, as he drove through the gate at 7 AM (!) I had that done!
When rain stopped play this afternoon, this was the state of play.....

I have been been builder's labourer for much of the day and will sleep well.
Kryn, there will be NO ES tonight!

Unfortunately available space does not necessarily mean available funds?
The old shed is 4 X 7 X 2.4 and the extension (expension?) is 4.1 X 6.1 X 3.0 so lm basically doubling the floor space but, with the increased height, l have more than doubled the volume which increases my storage options particularly for the Chinese furniture.a rock is an obsolete tool ......... until you don’t have a hammer!

It's exciting to see the frame up. You can really start to appreciate what you will have.
I am impressed with your tradies. You must have done something special to get that quick service.
Doubling the floor space will be great. I love my high ceilings. It makes it a lot easier to move long boards around.
I like your courtyard too. A nice space to work out in the open air.
It looks like you are going to open up the old shed into the new shed?
That will make a good long workshop.Scally

Thanks Scally, there'll be a wide doorway between the two sheds but part of Council requirement is that it be a "separate shed"......
The new shed will probably become the 'machine shop' and the old shed for hand work .... but l still have the fun of deciding that?a rock is an obsolete tool ......... until you don’t have a hammer!

The state of play at the end of a rain effected Day 2.......

So far, the score is FLETTY 2 vs MURPHY NIL.
lm enjoying the labouring ..... provided it's on my shed AND, there's only 2 more days of it?
