Ha! Too late! You have already begun to slide. If you were to throw that saw to some worthy recipient now, & use both hands to hold on, you may be able to save yourself, but I think you're a gonner....

The bolts had enough meat to accept a m4x0.7 thread, so that's what they got. Made some nuts to suit after adapting the handle a bit so as I could get some more thread on them. Made a screwdriver to suit too!



And put it all back together.






So, been there, done that, I'll quit now while I'm still ahead. (Unless I find another one for 50c)

Betcha half a stubbie you'll end up with more saws before the year is out.

Having done a restoration, the next step is to make a saw from scratch - not a lot more difficult.

Nice job, btw, looks like a good little user, and not too shabby in the looks department, either.........
