There is no local test server here in Perth but here's mine anyway from my home wireless network - cable BB in Perth to the Adelaide/Melb/Sydney servers.
Interestingly it's faster to Syd/Melb than to Adelaide.
I guess it's ok for being 2000 miles away!

Oh, for Optus Cable again.
I've had Telstra Cable, Optus Cable and ADSL from Telstra and Internode.
Optus Cable was the best hands down.
With Telstra you pay more get less. They included uploads as well as downloads in there monthly usage. Also, their 'Unlimited' plans aren't. They are shaped, that is they throttle your download speeds when you exceed your download limit.
Martrix, I have no idea why your network speeds are so slow. Is it wireless? Have you done a test again?Photo Gallery

The best I've got from Optus cable is 1010/122. Nowhere near the numbers that other people are getting. I wonder why mine is so much slower? Maybe there's more people on my LAN?

Mine is a 256 satellite with Bordernet and an ISDN 128 upload.

TPG adsl2+ but limited to a standard DSl modem so capped at 8mbs. also have fault on the line so max connection is 6144 Kb/s / 512 Kb/s
