I was given a Carbatec apron, I guess because I've messed up too many formerly good clothes.

I guess from this that you would be familiar with the phrase,

"I hope you're going to change those clothes before you go out to the shed!"

Typically this occurs as you open the screen door (to see what the weather is like).

My wife gave me a sterling silver one for our first wedding aniversary thirty eight years ago. Be carefull of the claws (the hammer not the wife) they tend to catch on open weave material.
