SpringWater is making a Redgum stool for the firewood challenge.
Dirk Pittwater made a scotch glass.
I'm working on a saw together with Simplicity.
We have a photo editing session now run by old grey beard.
More to come soon.

Well what a day. Good follow on from yesterday. Did we mention Sammy had her first woodturning lesson yesterday?
Moving on to today she had yet another
She was not the only 2 day old turner in the ranks. We had Dirk
And there was ealier in the day. He did not last long on the foot power
Pete and Matt on the other hand were real troopers working on this saw all day

They werent the only ones to be hard at something.
Whether is was working on a lathe like Doug
Or using a lathe as a saw horse like Craig
For other a good chance to eat
Or cook
Or just chew the fat
Some did it hard (like cutting a railway sleeper with a hand saw)
And some took it easy
But all in all a good day had by all

home safe
Well it was a shame to have to leave just as the party was really starting to take off, but responsibilities and all that....
We got home at about 1.00 am and just finished getting organised for the night.
Thanks everyone for a great weekend. I will have to make sure I can stay the whole time next time.
I recently discovered that Crowie and I had grown up in the same neighborhood in Brisbane in the 1960's, within a hundred metres of each other. We thought we might have had to go home without seeing him but fortunately he arrived at the GTG just before we had to leave so we postponed our departure half an hour so we could have a bit of a catch-up after 50 years! He would have been about twice my age back then, now he just looks it. (just jokes Crowie, it was great to see you and swap memories if only briefly).
Thanks to everyone who was there for making us feel welcome. We hope we made you feel the same way.
Looking forward to the next GTG.
Cheers
DougI got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.
