That would be somewhat out of character.

He's confusing Thugby with Woodwork Doug. In Thugby, mauls are full of bashers.

    Cheers

"Maul" is good as well but more appropriate in a game of Rugby

The blue paint meant to be given away at GTG didn't it?

Belated thanks to Brett for hosting the umpteenth BM GTG. I have just returned to the sunshine State this afternoon after a sometimes frustrating ,but always exacting task of rebuilding a gravel road. I fully understand why the councils and other road engineers use, graders, tip trucks, rollers and the like.

Very good to meet up with friends old and new. If I had a criticism of the GTGs, it is that they do not go on long enough for me to talk with everybody. Oh! I have just thought , is that why they end early?

Simplicity's reference to wisdom (post #263) is grossly overstated and I only offered an opinion having being plied with cider.

The question of a "basher" for a froe has in the past been a subject of much conjecture as to the correct name. I believe that in this instance Pac Man would be the "basher" and I would go with "maul" for the instrument. However, as I said, there is much conjecture and whole threads have been devoted to the subject . Whatever term you chose to use the key to effectiveness is weight and striking the froe approximately two thirds of the way along your "basher."

    Regards
    Paul

?? So... do we strike Pacman in the chest or in the knees? Does it make any difference whether he's laying down head to the North or head to the South? What if he's standing?
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

    Personally,
I think Paul is just trying to bash this thread right out of context

Hope so. Be a shame to chase someone away who is just new and excited.

His posts seemed on topic just late. He did mention going to bunnings in one of his posts.
