Probably they won't change it unless they decide on 5 bowlers in Perth.
In which case, adios Martyn.
My guess is that they won't change a winning team though.

I like Martyn, but I don't know if I'd like to be in the trenches with him. I don't like players who pop up and score a century every now and then to keep themselves in the side.
Still, a great win. I just couldn't listen to the radio for the last hour or so, it was too tense. After this, I may have more faith in the team.
Who was that dipstick who was whinging about the influence of the toss?

well it ended up well not my predicted draw.
Again the poms have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
I wonder if they have to had back the honours the queen gave em for the last effort.
With the drought in full swing they can't count on rain to help either.

How sweet was that????
A read of the BBC site was just so much fun, I think they are all feeling ill.

I reckon that's about right. They played for the draw from day one.
I thimk that Fletcher was thinking "O.k, we got rolled in Brisbane let's go for a draw in this test to give us a chance to regroup".
For four days the plan worked pretty well too. Then today after losing a couple of early wickets they started panicking about losing. Of course Warne bowling like a champion didn't help them much either.

*VBG* Surely McGill has to get a go in Perth. He would have been valuable in Adelaide. Very sad to say that Lee should have a game off in Perth, which was once a speedsters ticket to heaven. Not anymore they say.
Both Clarks get to stay. Don't know if Martyn deserves to stay.
*LOL* SMWBO came up with a beauty, "if Australia win in Perth they all just go home then" Yep sure who needs a Melbourne and Sydney test?
I reckon there would be an armed insurection if they decided to do that!

Right at the beginning of this thread someone said Adelaide Tests are boring - once again that boring pitch led to a five day test where the team that played hardest the whole time won. What a great finish!!! And again, it wasn't a draw.......
Cheers

Nice quote from the BBC site.
"That was the biggest load of rubbish I have ever seen. Lots of Aussies going berserk in Adelaide, lots of Englishmen looking like they've arrived home to find the French doors have been smashed and their new plasma TV's been stolen. Thanks for staying with me for the last 10 days - it's been a mix of emotions, but mainly depression and boredom, with a bit of anger and embarrassment thrown in. I'm off to Venice this weekend though, that should be nice, they don't even know what cricket is there. Bye."

Just waiting for the cries from the Sun about Freddy. "Rip his liver out and serve it for breakfast with onions." The look on the poor guy's face when they gave us 4 overthrows seems to predict it. The innevitable continuation of this barrage will be "Give Botham a berth (pun intended), he's already there."

Posted on a Pommy Forum with the thread title "Pietersen's better than Bradman".
And this after he had played 2 tests?
Fact: Australia's best ever batsman averaged less than 100. That's rubbish
Fact: Kevin Pietersen averages 121

That was me. And for the first fiour days this Test was as boring as batshat.
I still don't believe the pitch was up to Test standard and even Les Burdett wasn't happy with it.
However there's no denying it was a thriller on the last day but that's down to a never say die team, a once in a lifetime spinner and an opposition team
that to use a Pommy expression "bottled" it.
I prefer Tests that ebb and flow over the full five days.

I prefer Tests that humiliate the Poms
