That reminds me of a Forum story from one who no longer participates. I can't quite remember the context but the subject of "liasons" came up. This person maintained a woman became infatuated with him and made contact saying how wonderful he was and that she wanted to have his children.

He said he gladly gave her their addresses .

Dunno how to resolve this easily. I posted a suggestion of meeting at the Carbatec stand at midday in my post 24 on the 28th May ( https://www.woodworkforums.com/f135/s...ghlight=midday) as it was the first vendor that popped into my head and mentioned it to quite a few folk at today's GTG, but supporting fellow Forumite member Greg Ward at Boutique Timbers has lots of merit.

How about lots of publicity on here to support Boutique Timbers as long as it isn't raining, and use Carbatec as a wet weather back-up for the midday meeting place?

Thank you all for coming today and making it a great day. The last visitors have left except for those who are staying tonight and they are all now tucked safely into bed.
I had to laugh though. PJP who did the Hegner demo, rang me about an hour ago. As soon as he got home he started searching for a Domino. He has since found one online .... and has bought it!

Thanks Fletty and Helen. I had a great day as well. Previous posters have forgotten the lock mitre demo. I will probably get one of those set up gadgets. I quite like the LM joint for quick and easy.

What a fantastic day! A huge thank you to Fletty and Helen for their warm hospitality and for organising such an enlightening event. It's always great to hear new ideas and approaches and mix with like minded people. The demos were like watching YouTube live.

I'll see some of you on Friday at the WW Show. Fletty, if it's not too much trouble, I can collect the model of Mick's Wonder Joint on Friday. The mitred sliding dovetail can be cremated.

I had a great day and it was good to catch up with like minded people and to meet other woodies

I can't see myself racing out to purchase any new equipment but I do like the idea of two routers for the Gifkins - something I've been thinking about for a fair while now (first saw Gifkins himself do it) - one day maybe
I'm impressed with the incra positioner system but not sure I want to part with the $$$.

The Jointing Get ToGether finished around a fire and dinner table last night. I had shared a day (or 2!) with some of my great friends that I have found, been friended and befriended on this wonderful forum. I now also have at least a plan to fix the 'lost and found' items and so it is time to say my fond and sad farewell. I am sorry to have alarmed some people but please be assured that I am not unwell and, in fact, I am currently training for my thirty-somethingth Sydney City to Surf. As another of my great forum friends said the other day, they are "amazed that I, of all people, incurred the wrath of the moderators" and I am equally amazed. I have never knowingly told a deliberate untruth on the forum and I have too many other fun things to do in my life than to worry about breaking anyone else's arbitrary rules. I have had fantastic time on the forum, I have contributed a lot, I have hosted 2 major get togethers and attended more, I have organised attendance at the forum tent at the Sydney WWWS, I have taken a lot of time to post tutorials on such esoteric subjects as Chinese drawers and lead lighting. However, I have also learned a lot. Some of you have shared amazing knowledge, advice, friendship and counsel with me. I have gained much more than I have given or ever could give.
I intend to stay in touch with the wonderful friends that I have made. My life would be MUCH poorer without them and I hope that those of you who have my personal contact details will use them, stay in touch and share them with anyone who asks for them.
I leave you now but only on this forum, I hope to stay in your lives elsewhere.
Good bye and good luck, as the Irish comedian Dave Allen used to say, may your God go with you.
