Thanks a lot guys.
I am thinking now about my 200 word and then I will put it into the ready to judge thread and also need to polish it up again and take nice pictures.
Ma, "herrlich" is a suitable word. There are others, but when someone runs them through google translate again I might get kicked off the forum [emoji6]
It would be an honor to be on the podium next to any of the planes I have seen. And as Matt said I already feel like a winner just through the experience, the learning and having a workable plane. I think everyone is winning by simply getting over the finish line.
The only issue is that I am truly hooked and will have to make more planes. There are already 4 more in my mental pipeline [emoji12] where I will use everything I learned through this excercise.

Finally today she was cleaned up and polished and prepared for final foto shoot.
I also checked some of the stats. Here is a comparison with other planes I tried to mimic.
Interesting is that mine is nearly exact same weight. But it is shorter by about 2". That and the weight reduction in my lever cap are compensating for my generally heavier design.
The Stanley and it's derivatives were giving me the idea. Only I was thinking how they would look like as an infill. I couldn't find an example on the web, so I had to come up with my own interpretation [emoji16]
This challenge gave me two planes. The scraper plane and the scrub plane which I did in between to practise the dovetailing of the body. I think that's a good outcome.
Only now I have a plane for the rough work and one for the finishing work. But nothing inbetween. I guess I have no choice than keep going [emoji849][emoji16]
I will now draft my entry in the judging thread. Should come out today or tomorrow.

Wonderful job again. If, no I mean when, you undertake the next plane (smoothing or jack?) will you have enough of the same timber to keep that line going.

With that amount of the same timber "left over" I am am predicting a family of Victorian proportions.
One of everything!
