Hey Guys

just got some sliding doors delivered today from gjames. the doors fit and look fine but the install looks to be a litte different to that of the windows that i installed a couple of weeks back.

both the windows and doors have been ordered with the reveals already installed. the windows had loads of reveal exposed so i could pop a nail in through it to the stud behind for installation. worked great

however the door tracks and framing seem to take up most of the width of the reveal and i cant see any easy way to fix the new doors to the stud without going through the aluminium, through the reveal and into the stud (which i have been advised not to do). there is about 10mm of reveal exposed on the inside but that 10mm is actually overhang for internal lining such as plaster.

whats the best way to go?

thanks in advance

Quintin
