A buisness to laquer
hi everybody
i am coming to the end of my HSC woodwork project and i am looking for a buisness who could laquer it for me. this is so that i can get the best finish i can(school machines arent very good quality)
i have made a sideboard unit and need to have it laquered in a few weeks( in the school holidays 10th july-1st august) so that i can clean it up and finish it by 24th august.
if anybody knows a buisness that can lacquer my unit in sydney or have any other idea, it would be much appreciated
thanks Wakesetter

Why not do it yourself?
Danish oil is pretty much foolproof (hey even i managed to get a smooth finish from it, using rags and cheap brushes).
Or simply spraycans of lacquer from bunnings.
Polyurethane is difficult to get really smooth i've found, without lots of sanding.

Any panelbeater could spray it with the clear lacquer topcoat used on cars. It will be quite serviceable but it will be a full gloss finish.
