Another BB member met with.....
Hi all
I had the pleasure of meeting with Mr & Mrs Midge this arvo at the Craporium.
They called in, early in the arvo, but I was out working, standing in a field of cow **** in the rain, most enjoyable.
So they called back later on, after I got back to work.
It was most enjoyable to put a name to a face..........no...no...reverse that.
And not a foil cap in sight.
Ive heard about those internet dateing BB's, but I thought this was a woodworking BB.
Maybe Im wrong??
Melbourne even turned on one of its finest days to welcome them. ( we only got 2" of rain ).Whats wrong with you ppl??
The tan they are returning home with, is realy rust!!

I understand that the midges in Mountain Creek can be a problem in summer, but is it really necessary to go three-quarters of the way to the South Pole to escape them?

slumming it
So the midges have been slumming it, I'll leave the reader to decide whether that's refering to Victoria or the craporium......
BTW Al, what were you doing in a paddock full of manure - getting some stock for the craporium?

I have to fess up!!! It's true !!!! VICTORIA!!!
(Nice place for indoor games though, and what a lovely bunch of people there too!)
...and yes it was great to catch up with a fellow faceless name, even if we did nearly miss the plane home as a result!
They have a really unique way of watering their gardens down there though...the water just comes straight from the sky, not at all like here where we have to use pipes and hoses and things.
Mind you with the temperatures down there the roadkill keeps fresher longer.....
I can see why so many Victorians love the SUNSHINE Coast so much (mind you it is a bit...errr....humid here at the moment)...apparently if we get another 250mm of rain between now and the end of the year we will have had 10% of our annual average this year  .
Been away for a week and now I've got 300 messages to look at!
I think I feel one last poem coming on....
