WOODWORKING QUIZ for 6 Nov 04
Good Morning Friends,
I have an old sharpening stone that I got from my dad, and the middle is "dished out" from years of use.
Is there a way to flatten it so it's usable?

Flatten it out by rubbing it on a hard, flat, abrasive surface. Sandpaper on glass works, so I am told, but I am a primative and use a formed, concrete building block.
We call them Besser blocks over here. They are very flat, having come from a mould, quite abrasive and a good size.
It only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.
