Extending Plaster Board Edge
Hi Guys,
This is probably a simple question, but I couldn't find anything on it, so I thought I'd ask.
I have just replaced a gas heater with a new cast iron fire place and a new mantle. The previous matle was quite a bit taller than the new one and unfortunately the plaster on the wall behind the mantle doesn't quite come down far enough and there is a small gap above the mantle.
Is there a way to "extend" the plaster down a bit with some sort of patching? I would prefer not to replace the plaster if I could avoid it. The house is a 1920s CB and plaster is the "horse hair" type.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Adam
