Curtains/Blinds
Well, I'm at the window furnishing stage and I've done everything I can to make the house energy efficient. I have some very large windows/doors and I have hit a stumbling block in how to maintain the theme.
Most household items have energy ratings - electrical appliances, windows, insulation, lights etc, etc, upon which to base your purchasing decision. It seems strange to me that window furnishing manufacturers can't give the same information. As well, they are, or can be, a significant investment.
I expect that this rating is as important as ceiling and wall insulation, but I'm not aware of any ratings for window furnishings. If anybody can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful.
I would also welcome any comment, positive or otherwise, regarding the necessity that window furnishings be rated like most other household items.
