i agree it was a strange way to start the thing, but not really dangerous. what made me flinch was him putting pressure on the left hand side of the board as it passed through the saw - far too much risk of pushing the piece into the rising teeth for my liking.

The apprehension that something was going to go wrong and hurt his little girl had me feeling quite squeemish. I was watching those hands push the timber past the spinning blade and expecting to see the offcut fly or his hand slip....
Not the worst TS video...but enough to give me nightmares.dave
nothing is so easy to do as when you figure out the impossible.
