Gold Polaris Penkit from Rhizeng
Product: Polaris Gold
Maker: rizheng , china
This is My Second review on penkits that are available to us here in Australia
Initial impression of the Kit was good as there seemed to be weight in the kit and it felt and looked of good Quality , My only concern was the clip was a bit light compared to the rest of the kit
Plating : The Gold plating is 24K and the coverage and finish is even and to high quality although I cannot comment on the durability as I haven’t field tested it yet
Finial: Good quality and heavy ,
Tip Good quality and heavy ,
Clip: The clip is very light and seems to be an afterthought on the part of the manufacturers after Installation the clip failed on the second day of field testing, My suggestion is to leave out the clip altogether and make it a desk pen if these are meant to be sold
Mechanism : Mechanism was a little stiff in my opinion and I found the transmission Coupler Shoulders to be a bit less defined than Polaris Kits from other Manufacturers , this made Installation a bit touchy feely
Overall view , I originally picked the Polaris as I wanted to see what the Pens were like , I also got a kit from a different Manufacturer at the same time to compare the two , In my opinion the Rizheng Polaris almost got it right but the clip let the kit down ,
Would I buy them again : Not unless there is some change in the clip Quality I still have another 4 kits to do , so that should tell me if the problem is a line problem and not an Individual Kit problem
Although I think there is a problem with the clip , I would suggest purchasing the Polaris kits to see if you wanted to do them without outlaying a lot of $ , but if you intend to sell them I would probably buy another Brand or do away with the Clip on this one
I would give the kit a 6.5 out of 10
Cheers
Glenn
