XT computer
The thing I loved about my old XT was the monitor closed down with the computer. All the later models I have to turn the monitor off manually.
Is there any way to turn the monitor off automatically when the box shuts down??

The monitor should power down with just the standby light flashing....
Does the computer itself turn off or just say something like " You can shutdown now " ?

If you want to do that then the only thing is possibly the older type power cable that goes from the power supply on the tower to the monitor, instead of a direct plug into 240 v from the monitor. ( if it is not already set that way ).
As most monitors these days go into standyby the only real alternative is the power switch on the monitor....

Bob, You need to go to a computer shop and buy a power supply with outlet for the monitor coming off the power supply.
