Out of plane ceiling joists - Gyprock
Well I am on the home stretch with my ceiling fixing 160m2 done 120m2 to go.
My questions is I have a ceiling joist in a big room that are not in the same plane with the others next to it.It sits 15mm higher at the cornice line. What is a soultion to this problem. Do I simply pack it out or should I not screw it and attach the sheet to the joist with some fibreglass rovings and cornice cement draped over the joist onto the sheet.
What happens if the joists have slight undulations from one joist to the other, how will this affect the sheets and how do you solve it.
