Such a shame. Sam Maloof was someone that I've read a lot about and who inspired me in my short woodworking hobby thus far. Sad to see him go.

Sam Maloof gone
I hope all you rocking chair makers noticed that Sam Maloof passed away on the 27 May last week at the age of 93. The man just inspired me more than I believed possible. As far as I'm concerned the world is worse for his passing but better for what he gave us as a craftsman and as a humble human being. Any rocking chair I make from now on will celabrate his memory.
