Is this what you mean? http://www.boehler-minitool.com/engl...2&modus=listew
If it is, then I got mine at SuperCheap Auto, but it was a run out clearance (I really wanted one when they were $120, and eventually paid $40 for it) so they may well not have any left.
The website does list a distributor for Australia though - you could contact them and find out where they are sold.

I haven't used mine yet - It's stored away for when I get started on my carved top mandolin. It just looks brilliant for sanding a curved surface like that. Should save me a lot of hand sanding - although I suspect the last little bit will get done by hand still.

If the item is being discontinued would'nt the little sanding discs be a problem to source?

The discs are 5" and standard random orbit discs would work.
Its a product line that seems to be come and go at supercheap.
Maybe they won't be around in the future but maybe they will.

The Bohler one is all plastic and seems a bit tinny.
I bought mine to sand a cork tiled floor.
Did a great job.
Me offsider reckoned it was so tinny it probably wouldn't last to get the job done.
So I let him do most of the sanding. He reckoned it worked better than the big fancy sanders he had been hiring for sanding floors.
After we finished that job he went and bought one for himself.
It'll be a great sander for table tops.

The one I have that I got for $40 was the smaller (hold it in one hand) one. The big one looks too big for what I had in mind for it (mandolin curves)
