G'day Everyone
Hi everyone! Just discovered this site, and am very pleased with what I've found! Can anyone help me with a query I have about an old pine foor? We renovated a 1970 brick veneer, and found tongue and groove pine boards under the carpets and tiles. The roof was left off, and the floor was unprotected for around 9 months (rain and heat). We then polished the boards, replacing broken boards with hardwood, but now the tongues have come away from the grooves, and there are gaps and cracks all over the place! Would the extreme temperatures and our neglect to cover the floor have caused this? And, what can I do to fix it?

Yes it would . Hi mindy and welcome to the forum. For an answer to your question, how to fix it, start a thread in the flooring section of the forum and you will get plenty of advice. Click Here and it will take you to the right place.
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John
