remove varnish
I have been asked to remove a varnish finish from a small cot and paint it white.
Can anyone recommend the best method to remove the varnish?

Can you not just sand it lightly to provide a key for the paint? If you have to strip it, I would recommend a meths or white spirit compatible formula.
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.

citrus strip
I am very pleased to recommend this product; Citrus Strip.
It works as well as the really nasty products that burn your skin and kill brain cells but I think you could even eat this stuff! NO methylene chloride only citrus oil.
Yesterday I found out this stuff also keeps for years (5 in my case).
Good luckI'm both dyslexic and paranoid. I keep thinking I'm following someone.
