This one aint......slaving away keeping your great country supplied with oil and gas and your economy propped up with the exorbitant taxes I pay.

I often hear people go on about a majority of those on unemployment benefits here in Australia being Kiwis but I think if you look at the stats you'll find its not the case.

    Hi there ,

Yes, back on the rig for another 5-6 week hitch. This will be the last hitch for the year and probably the last hitch on this project. I get off here mid November, take a short trip to Vic for a chopper crash training course and then head off to NZ early in Dec for a 2 month holiday. First holiday in 5 years..looking forward to same.

Hiya kiwi - going anywhere near Hamilton? I'll be over there for a month myself - maybe we could have a beer.

    Hey there Den,

The nearest I'll be to Hamilton will be Wellington..just after christmas. Am doing a 3 week luthiery course being held Wellington High School. The rest of the holiday will be spent in Christchurch.

I love playing them, and have always hankered after making them... You soak in your course, and maybe we'll have a beer back in Tassie!

There's probably still a few vacancies on the luthiery course. It runs from Jan 2nd through to circa Jan 26th. If youre interested then message me and Ill email details to you when I get home.

Tassie trip planned for next year..the boss wants to get down there and is putting on the pressure. Would also like to see the Abt railway theyve restored.

I'm surprised you need to learn how to crash them, I thought choppers were pretty well able to do that without any help?

    LOL

Is a HUET Im going on....Helicopter Underwater Escape Training course. Once your pilot has skilfully got the bird down onto the water the HUET training helps you get out in one piece once the machine rolls over and starts sinking.

I say going "home" but I have to say I really consider Adelaide my real home. After a few days of constant ribbing from kiwi friends about my Ozzie accent and discovering that all the old friends I'd hoped to catch up with are in Australia Im usually ready to head back to Australia.

Been living in Oz for a while now and my life is here.....the passport is a Kiwi one but in my job I work in some places where its easier travelling on a Kiwi Passport....
