Glass railing for deck
Hi all,
I'm putting in a 2nd floor balcony/deck and trying to decide what sort of railing to use. The deck is steel frame, steel roof, blackbutt flooring.
The 3 choices I'm trying to decide between are,
1) Steel/Aluminium railing (Powder Coated). This is the cheaper option
2) Frameless glass
3) Framed glass
As this is a 2nd floor deck (25sqm) and I have small kids and quite a few nephews and nieces I want to ensure that there is no chance of the glass shattering.
Is there any information I should know prior to getting quotes? One person I talked to said that laminated glass was essential. Is this true?
I'm really after anyone's experiences and recommendations.
Thanks,
Jeremy
