    Default Sourcing AS1684 online?

(Not sure where to place this, other than in the Renovation Forum, so this'll do as well as anywhere)

A couple of times in the last few months I've had reason to look up the AS 1684 standards, for span tables, etc. I do have the hard copies somewhere... somewhere being the operative word. My shed is in chaos and I don't have the time or inclination to go hunting.

Until recently I had a PDF version, which I'm pretty sure I DL'd for free from a .gov.au site. The same site also distributed the appendices & errata sheets as they were released.

After a recent computer upgrade my copy of the PDF disappeared, along with my browser bookmarks and I can't for the life of me work out where I originally DL'd it. I'm sure it wasn't the Aust. National Library & most other .gov.au sites I've tried have sent me to an ePay type site to buy the hard-copy.

Anyone got any ideas? Or has the Govt discontinued the digital releases?
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

    Try this:

    http://www.timber.net.au/index.php/T...g-AS-1684.html

Might have what you want under the span tables menu on the left.

Or maybe try looking for Timber Framing Manual rather than AS1684.

We also have a subscription to the AS. It costs $55 to download any standard. They arrive in .pdf but the files are protected and expire after a few days.
I don't know if some are available free of charge but I haven't found one yet.
Those were the droids I was looking for.
