Roof: cliplock capillary damage
Hi
I want to know if it is possible to cut and replace the old style cliplock roofing where capillary action has rusted about 400- 500mm of the sheet (back from the gutter)
Is it possible to cut the sheet close to the last roof support batten closest to the gutter? Then slip a new 1 metre length under the cut, seal and paint? I really can not afford to replace the roof and this is the only part with serious rust damage. Is it also ok to cut some slits in my guttering to stop further problems? I have a low pitch roof (1-3% )
any advice welcome!
Regards
Chas
