    Default Out of Memory Error

As an IT Technician that handles support for a big manufacturing plant,
part of that responsibility is taking support calls 24/7.

"The very first time I took a middle-of-the-night support call I was
a little groggy, being awakened by the phone at 3:30 in the morning," .

"But I quickly woke up and asked questions of the night operator,
then talked him through restarting processes and verifying things
were working again, right down to telling him which button to click
on, what to type and what passwords to put in.

"Typical IT support stuff, and the phone call lasted just over 20 minutes.

"When I turned the light back off and pulled the covers back over me,
my loving wife rolled over toward me and said, 'You can remember all
that and you can't remember to take the garbage out on Tuesdays?'

"I didn't sleep much the rest of that night."

Now, now... I'm sure that Groggy isn't quite that bad...
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Oh man, that is just too true... I used to work as tech support for one of the bigger ISP's and you would walk them through every button click. Some people would ask 'can you see my screen'...

And you're also right, I do forget to take the garbage out!

    Cheers,
    Dave

    I'll swap any time!!
Doing a locum Vet job in Scotland about 20 years ago, I was on duty, it was mid-winter, and my warmest clobber was regarded as "summer weight" in Jock-land.
Anyhow, sure enough, the phone rang at about 3 am.
Try to understand a concerned jock farmer whose prize cow is in trouble calving, and he needs "The Vitinry" like, yesterday.
The more I tried to get directions to his farm, the more agitated he got, and the broader and less intelligible his accent became.
I eventually got his name right, gave him some instructions, donned my "summer weights" and went to the cop shop for directions.
We pulled the calf OK, and, by about lunch time, I'd warmed up.
Incidentally, I can't stand the taste of Scotch, so had to refuse to offer of a restorative drachm".Why didn't the Jocks discover rum!!??

    My nightmare was:

Me - Type MCR and return
    Op - OK
    Me - What happened?
    Op - Nothing
Me - What does the bottom line of the screen say?
    Op - M-C-R-a-n-d-r-e-t-u-r-n
Me - OK, I'll be there in 20 minutes. This is a serious problem.
