Thank God for friends
My health problems have caused me no end of frustration. I am barking mad because I can do little in the way of heavier work at the moment but lately some very good and special friends have come to my assistance and others, Munruben and Pasho in particular, have offered theirs.
When my wife and I offered to pay for a weekend away for a couple of couples who have been tireless with their generosity the reply was " You don't owe us anything. We always help each other!" We were both truly humbled but it's an excuse for a good get together anyway. So It's on, despite the protests.

I am on a stick, bent, in some pain.
This morning, at the Mall, as I made my way up the incline to sit and wait for my wife, a woman stopped and asked if I needed any help. Then, a little further on, a big bloke stopped and said, "Are you right, mate. Can I help you?"
artme and Sturdee, 'what goes around, comes around.' You have done the good deeds. It''s your turns, now.

Thank God for friends? Aye, I'll second that!
I have a friends of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. From the other end of the.. ahem... "social spectrum" to loud & obnoxious (at first glance) characters that most seem to take an instant dislike to. Some I don't have any common interests with at all, nevertheless I count them as friends and not acquaintances.
Why? They're people I'd willingly give any help to, without question of reward, as I know they'd do the same for me.
Sometimes members of my family have remarked along the lines of "I don't know what you see in..." Which I'm sure works both ways, with their families wondering the same about me.
Aye. Thank God for friends! They make up for the rest of the disgraces that call 'emselves human beings.
And Thank God for these forums, which have provided me with new friends!
