Satin Myrtle?
Has anyone had anything to do with these trees or wood?
Phebalium squamulosum I think this is the species from the Otways in Victoria called Satin Myrtle. I was given a good log maybe 200mm diameter and 3m long aparently very large for the species. I have had it sitting for many years and it split to bits but with some effort I could get something from it. Is it worth the effort?
I'm a little worried seeing it is in the family Rutaceae rhue the herb is an abortive drug and it keeps cats away may not be healthy to play with any thoughts?
