restricting water flow by turning down tap at meter
Hello everyone. Theres a guy in Melbourne who featured in the paper with his idea of turning the main supply tap down three turns to save water, this is his website http://www.3tdwatersaver.org/
Anyway I went to a lecture with a guy from some master plumbers board, he reckoned that turning the mains tap down would make more water use, as it would alter how the water goes through the meter, making the meter spin faster. He stated that when the meter is read they would wind the tap back out at the same time !
He recommended a water restrictor be installed after the meter $150 + install by plumber.
Whats your verdict on this ?
cheers Gravy
