Spotted gum flooring job to do
I have bought some spotted gum 90mm flooring and need some finer details of putting it down. I have been reading lots of posts and AS AS2796.1 and there is no mention of "classic" grade is it in AS2796.2?
I am going to secret nail directly on the joist, is it worth buying a nail "thingy" to do this? I think they are about ~$130 bucks, vs using a pasloe nail gun? Would the ribbed 2.85mm deck nail be used or do I need the bradder? If they can be used, does the nail goes through the top cnr section of the tongue at 45 deg?
If the pasloe can be used is there an issue with the nail head or the timber splitting?
Can we get a sticky on flooring as there are a number of good posts on how to including sanding.
