I just purchased an elcheapo pine chinese sauna. Comes in a flat pack and will fit nicely in a corner in my bathroom. What oils can be used on the pine timber to help preserve it? I was thinking of linseed oil. Is this the way to go. What ever gets used needs to be non toxic and non inflamable as it will vaporise in the sauna. Hopefully some will soak in though to the timber.

Went for the pine pack as the kit is complete and ceder is almost unobtainable through the local timber shops.

My knowledge of saunas is limited to the odd visit however my wife is Eastern European and likes saunas.
