Yep, another floating floor question………
Hi all,
I’ve searched on this but with no luck as to finding a solution …..yet.
Has anyone laid floating flooring where it buts against round timber posts or mudbrick. I want to lay floating floor in a new ground floor entry on a concrete slab of a pole framed house. As you might envisage the posts penetrate the slab around its perimeter etc. Also, some of the infill walls in the room are mudbrick. I’m considering using a standard skirting board for the new gyproc and the older mudbrick expecting some gaps against the mudbrick. My real dilemma however is that of concealing the flooring expansion gap around the base of the 250mm diameter posts. Are there any proprietry mouldings that anyone has seen or used that might work here?
Has anyone seen floating floor laid around posts?
I’m thinking I can’t be the first person to do this.
Cheers for any help.
Michael
