Bearer Size
Ok guys, first question/post here, been great sifting through all the info.
I'm planning on building a deck, next to the house on two sides w/d. Due to it being b/v and also the way the back door porch is I decided to make it free standing rather than with a ledger board.
sifting through the standards for the design I have discovered it recommed 2/90x45 or 2/120x45 etc for the bearer size. Is there no way I can get away without doubling up the bearer timber?
