School was my worst subject at school.
I couldnt wait until I got the sack, in fact I didnt wait, I used to do a runner every afternoon once I got ticked off in the register.

    Maths.

Failed matriculation maths, got a concessional entry to study Architecture.
Failed structural mechanics; got a conceded pass based on other results (couldn't figure that out either!).

Now I deal in tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars, and seem to get most sums right!

My tallest structure built to date: 46 floors and still standing.

My brother got one of those year 11 report cards which stated that further schooling would be a waste of time, money and effort.

He has three degrees, four masters, and is partway through 2 Phd's.

Glad I don't have to pick 'em at school age!

    Cheers,

    P

I think your worst subject was why my worst subject was an academic one!

Once you understand that they are beyond understanding you will find them ever so much more understandable.

    Hope that helps,!!

    Have a nice flight!

Here's a tip that I have worked out.....

Never, ever, ever, ever let them think that you have stopped trying to figure them out.

My two worst subjects at school were my two favourites, art and woodwork. Did a degree in visual arts, passed with flying colours and went on to work in graphic arts for years. Became a carpenter and have supervised multi million dollar jobs. I don't like people telling me I can't do things .

Oh all right then. Maths was my worst subject so I got into engineering. I went on to pull apart heaps of Multi-Million Dollar Machinery that worked perfectly and then put it back together and blow it up. I just love it when somebody tells me I shouldn't do something.

Woodwork, I bloody loathed it, and music, actually got 3% in an exam one year.
Social Sciences were pretty dismal as well.
Now have AMEB grade 8 in classical guitar and BA and MA in Forensic Psych although I retired from this two years ago and work as a tech rep in electronics.
Qualified as an electronic tech in the RAAF in 1968 much to my surprise.
Mrs is a CPA and has no concept of money in our domestic situation, she is bloody hopeless.

Maths for me, but only because I didn't enjoy it. Nor the attitude of the maths teachers. People that teach maths shouldn't. They often understand it very well and don't seem very able to empathise with people trying to get a handle on it.

Never mind, it doesn't seem to have affected my later studies in stats (B), economics (A) and forecasting (A).
