Getting the plan right...
Hi there!
I've just mapped out my deck and wondered if I could get some feedback on my plan...
Just needed to know the spans/bearer & joist sizes etc are correct, whether I am overdoing it or not doing enough.
Am working with limited height maximum 350mm so are 100mm x 100mm concrete bases ok?
There are two areas that require access - brick planter, sewer and electrics...any ideas on what the best way to go about this is.
I am also planning to put in a bath tub eventually - it can either sit on top or be a sunken bath surrounded by decking. Any opinions to which option is better/worse? And should I prepare now although it wont happen in the near future?
Also read somewhere that I have to leave a 20-30mm gap between house & deck - is this correct? And does this refer to bearers/joists/decking or just to decking?
Thanks in advance
