Howdy
Hi all.
I am a new member here and have been having a squizz about. Looks like an awesome site with great info.Much needed by myself I have to say.
Just wanted to introduce myself to you all.
I am 26yrs old and have 2 gorgeous (but i am biased) kids that I adore and love to create things for. (wood or otherwise)
My oldest girl, (BJ) has just stared Kinder this year and my youngest (KJ) is 17 months old.
I guess I have had the bug to get into woodworking forever as I used to steal my dad's timber out of his shed, much to his disgust, and re-model my wardrobe with shelves and partitions since i was about 10. My hubby and I built the kids a whopper of a cubby together last year and I have been addicted since. He is now fighting me for the circular saw and drill.
So, in a nutshell, I have been stickybeaking to see what I can get up to next. What I can do that might be practical around here, and if i get good enough, maybe, just maybe i can have a hand crafted stall one day.
Thanks for reading,
Hope to see you 'round.
Jo.

Thanks for the warm welcome
While reading I am almost asking myself what am I doing here. To be honest, I work on trial and error and have no idea for technical names of anything. To me, it is a thing-a-ma-bob joined with the dooverlacky! PMSL! The cubby was a great masterpiece that grew bigger and bigger. It stands 1.5 off the ground (floor) and the interior is 1.8 high. It is 2.5 square with a kicker of a sandpit in the bottom. The kids LOVE it and i have to say, i am pretty proud.
Tools, i am not bad with but i am a top improvisor. You guys, i can tell already, are going to teach me a fair bit!
Thanks again,
Jo.

Welcome Jo!
It's always nice to welcome another woman to address the imbalance.
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.
