Default What type of finish is this?

Wondered if anyone could identify a finish now being used on Krieghoff Shotgun Stocks? They call it Diamond-lac. Is it a two pack and could you recommend a good hard lacquer finish product that is fairly easy to apply. What are two packs in essence?

diamond lac is most probaly just the name they call it,it could be just an acyrlic lacquer they are using which dries with a gloss compaired to nitro cellulose lacquer.A 2 pack is still acrylic base but is hardnened with a hardner and has a full gloss finish off the gun.2 pack is a harder finish and can stand up to chemicals etc.Acrylic is a thermoplastic which means it softens under heat and it dries by the evaperation of solvent. If you where to respray a car in acrylic lacquer it would take a mininium of a month to dry before you buff it but the longer you leave it to dry the better it holds its gloss, where 2 pack you paint it then bake it for 60mins at 60 degrees sets it off so it can be handled and polish alot quicker, it also can be cut and buffed also. Hope this helps.
