    Default Exaggerations

I'm putting this in the Jokes section, because it's less serious than it appears.

"The report of my death was an exaggeration." - Mark Twain, June 1897
    ( http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=191570 )

"The reports of my deaths were also exaggerations." - Joe Greiner, February 2009
    ( http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=653052 )

    With assistance of Google.

I'm reasonably certain that I'm not related to either of them, except perhaps for a cross-over eons ago. In 1998, I visited Regensburg, Germany, whence my great-grandfather emigrated to America around 1860. I found over 50 listings of the surname in the telephone book. The total population of Regensburg is about 140,000.

    Cheers,
    Joe

No good trying to hide it Herr Greiner, you sound just like ... Sgt. Schultz.

    Only joking

Yeah, I found him a while back too, Ray. It's amazed me how many copies there are of such a strange name. It would make some sense if my name was "John Smith" or something more common.

Good to see you at least part way out of the woods.

    All the best,
    Joe
