Electric oven against timber panelling- tile splashback?
Hi,
I'm putting in a new electric free-standing oven (i'm leaving the wood fired one in place and putting a new stove against another wall), and the kitchen has timber dado paneling. Apart from 50mm from combustible material, I can't find anything more specific about safety etc. I'd appreciate any advice on a./ do I need a fire resistant splashback (me thinks so) and b./ should I plaster and tile, fire resistant board and tile, or can I tile straight over the boards? The stove has about a 50mm steel splashback
Thanks for any help
Helen
