John, careful what you wish for. The temp shown for Sydney is on the coast. I am just west of Sydney and it will be low to mid 30C all week. We all sound like winging poms at the moment

"If a man is after money, he's money mad; if he keeps it, he's a capitalist; if he spends it, he's a playboy; if he doesn't get it, he's a never-do-well; if he doesn't try to get it, he lacks ambition. If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

If 41 and a stinking hot northern wind is lucky, I can do with less luck.

It is bloody beautiful up here in the hills (mountains) of Far North Queensland.
Hasn't been over 30° for months & we have had almost 20 inches of rain since Christmas.
Tropical rain is not cold, just wet.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

Don't know if I was lucky today, like Big Shed wrote, we hit over 40º and I had timber moving all over the place on me.
Still rather be hot than a Pom having to put up with a runny nose and cold.
Give me humidity any day, not that we have it down here, but when I was back home in Brisbane the fuzz on my mug was silky soft, come back down here to no humidity and dry heat and it's like wire again.
