7am on the dot this morning a large quantity of scaffolding was delivered to the site. Which makes me feel a bit better about being a dobber anyway.
no-one said on their death bed I wish I spent more time in the office!

    Cool

    This presents an interesting dilemma.

We recently had our house re-roofed, and because the eave is over 2.7m? the job was going to require scaffolding.

One quote provided everything including scaffolding and was subsequently over $11,000

The second quote asked for a guesstimate for the height of the eave (I said I think it just under 2.7) as a result the company (one of the biggest in the area) organised a subbie with a seriously dodgy set of scaffolding to come out and do the job. Price? - $6,000. Needless to say we went with this one, the whole job (tile removal by me, new battens, roofing and guttering) was done in under one day.

Liability issues aside, I felt one of the reasons the subbies moved with great speed was because they didnt want to get caught with the dodgy scaffolding.

There was a young boy called Wyatt
    Who was awfully quiet
    And then one day
    He faded away
    Because he overused White
