Hi Everyone
Hi There Everyone,
I have come to you timber experts for guidance, I am looking to make a table tennis top for my pool table, the main problem is that i need 2 pieces of MDF which are about 12mm thick and 1370x1530.
I have been to Bunnings but was told to get anything larger than 1200 wide i would have to buy a pack of 60!
I live in the sth east suburbs of melbourne or can go down the mronington peninsula, would be very greatful if anyone could suggest somewhere where i could buy two sheets of MDF these sizes.
I really dont want to pay $380 for the setup from the shops.
thanks in advance
Brett

G'day Brett and welcome to the world of the frustrated.
Try another supplier if possible.
Another approachwould be to go to the local Mitre 10 like Idid in a similar situation. A couple of cover sheets ( the sheets used on the outside of packs and slightly damaged ) cut to size and joined did the trick. Cost me $25 and some time and effort.

Hey Brett,
I found bunnings OK for regular size stuff but for irregular sizes try a timber supplier, like Mr Ply&Wood or I'm sure they'd have similar shops in Melb

Hi Brett
Contact Nover (in Bayswater), they stock a large range of MDF and sell them individually.
Ask for Kylie, Glen or Rob and tell them Paul from Eastern Creek sent you.
I work for Nover here in Sydney.
Good luck.
