    The clock's stopped dead.

    Horology can be a grave subject.

    At least who ever constructed that clock managed to mount it dead centre.

    I bet there's a few collectors would die for that clock.

    The case appears to have a very dead finish.

    Do you think the clock has a dead-beat movement?
